Overview

Nestled in Austria, the City of Linz houses approximately 205,000 residents

Nearly 28% of the population are foreign-born, many with limited German language proficiency. We spoke with Ulrike Huemer from the City of Linz. She shared how she used Colossyan's AI technology to save over 50% of her €1.9M COVID communications budget.

Key challenges

Linz needed to build a COVID communication platform that would overcome language barriers.

01

Cost

Traditional video production can incur considerable costs, which include hiring multilingual actors, renting studios, and procuring video equipment

02

Flexibility

Updating videos post-production would present a formidable challenge, necessitating additional time and resources.

03

Translation

Localizing video content for diverse languages is not only expensive but also time-consuming and challenging to scale. After assessing the startup landscape and synthetic media industry, Linz discerned that Colossyan was the right fit for their project.

"Colossyan had helped us navigate an emergency"

Linz created multilingual AI vaccination advisors

Here's an overview of the process:

Collaborating with Digital Hunter and health advisors, she developed an initial script in German.

The script was inputted into Colossyan's interface, and a German video was produced for review, selecting an AI avatar from Colossyan's extensive collection.

Once stakeholders were satisfied with the German version, Ulrike partnered with Digital Hunter to produce multilingual versions, utilizing Colossyan's machine translation functionality which was reviewed by native speakers.

"The platform is user-friendly, housing all necessary video editing features for creating top-notch training videos without requiring extra tools."
