But our customers kept telling us something we did not expect. For certain content, they wanted the opposite of realism. They wanted a friendlier, more approachable look. They wanted a character with a bit of personality that their audience would recognize and enjoy.
They had a point. A polished, realistic presenter can feel heavy in the wrong moment. A character can carry a story, lighten a difficult topic, and give your training a face that feels like yours. And in a feed full of talking heads, something a little different is easier to remember.
Introducing cartoon avatars
Cartoon avatars are a new, fully animated avatar style in the Colossyan editor. They sit right alongside the realistic avatars you already use, so you can choose the look that fits each project rather than settling for one style everywhere.
You still get everything else that makes Colossyan work as a platform for training and enablement: script to video, natural voices, interactivity, and a full editor for building videos and courses. The only thing that changes is the presenter, who now arrives with a lot more character.
How it works
Getting started takes a few seconds.
- Open the avatars panel in the editor
- Switch on the Cartoon filter to see the animated styles
- Pick the cartoon avatar you want and add it to your scene
- Write or paste your script, then generate as usual
